Terpinolene was the defining terpene of the classic Haze and Jack Herer cannabis families. Its complex aromatic profile — simultaneously floral, piney, sweet, and slightly citrusy — is distinctive. Terpinolene-dominant cultivars have become less common in the commercial market as breeders selected for the more robust limonene and caryophyllene profiles, but they remain a defining note of the Haze lineage.
